Spiritual Significance
Source of Power: These stones are believed to carry the Àṣẹ (spiritual power and authority) of Sango. In mythology, Sango uses these ax-shaped stones as his primary weapon to strike down those who exhibit bad behavior or commit injustices.
Manifestation of Lightning: Tradition holds that these stones fall from the sky whenever lightning strikes. They are often placed on shrines dedicated to Sango to act as potent talismans for guidance and protection.
